Chelsie + Clint

Let's start at the beginning. Chelsie and I met back in the fall of 2009, when we both rushed Kappa Kappa Gamma and became pledge sisters, and shortly after sorority sisters. Chelsie was vibrant, engaging, funny, and above all honest. She told it like it was, and was honestly a breath of fresh air.Like most girls our age we laughed a lot, stayed up late, and maybe had a little too much fun. Is that even a thing?
But life happens. You grow up, you leave college, you get a job, you move away, and if you're lucky enough you find someone you'd like to spend the rest of your life with. So when Chelsie reached out to me this past December, it had been sometime since we had talked. Not only was I thrilled to hear about her upcoming wedding, but when she asked me if I would be interested in being her wedding photographer I could have flown to the moon. After accepting Chelsie's offer, I immediately called all my friends at work and notified them! Hell yeah, I had just booked my first wedding! I told my boss, my parents, and my boyfriend-I guess you could say I was excited.

The day of the wedding I was a jumble of nerves. Could I actually do this? Was I good enough to do this? Would Chelsie and Clint like my photos? Would I like my photos? What if my camera stopped working? What if every photo I took suddenly disappeared from my camera? But worst of all, was I a total fraud? Questions that plague any photographer or anyone trying to embark on the adventure of starting their own business.
Thankfully, I can say that I am in love with the photos that came out of Chelsie and Clint's Wedding Day. They had a small ceremony at Noah's in South Jordan, Utah, with soft romantic lighting, baby's breath centerpieces, tastefully chosen hints of burlap and coral, and most importantly a taco bar! Yum!

Chelsie and Clint decided to forgo a wedding party, and they wrote their own vows. Surrounded by close friends and family, their wedding was officiated by a charming and charismatic family member. Chelsie looked beautiful and timeless as she walked down the stairs (like Belle in Beauty and the Beast) and the aisle, escorted by her father and brother. She met Clint at the alter with a large smile on her face. The two smiled through the whole ceremony. Their love, trust, and affection for one another was so clear and touching.
They shared their first dance, along with their son, and danced with their parents. There was a lot of celebrating with family and friends, and definitely some visits to the taco bar (don't worry I was all over the taco bar). The evening finished with a little dancing and Chelsie and Clint walking out amidst a field of sparklers help by friends and family.

I feel so lucky and honored to have been able to witness these two express their love for one another. Being able to shoot their wedding was truly one of the greatest pleasures and challenges I have faced. So, thank you to Chelsie for taking a chance on a sister who is just starting out in the photography business. Thank you for trusting me to capture your day, and thank you for letting me be apart of your big moment. I can't thank you enough.
Here's to Chelsie and Clint, I wish them the best and hope to be able to shoot more pictures for them in the future. Enjoy your photos!
